Gayatri Devi




Assistant Professor of English at Lock Haven University, where she also serves as the Coordinator of the Women and Gender Studies program. Dr. Devi’s articles on South Asian and Middle Eastern literatures and films, have appeared in select scholarly journals and anthologies. Dr. Devi’s book Humor in Middle Eastern Cinema (Wayne State University Press, December 2014) was listed in the New Scholarly Books for 2015 in the Chronicle of Higher Education. Dr. Devi is currently working on a manuscript on marriage myths and folktales.1
