Read My World is the international literature festival of Amsterdam. Going beyond the commonplace, Read My World explores the boundaries between literature and journalism, between here and there – and draws attention to everything in between. This year’s edition takes place on October 1, 2 and 3 in the Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam North, with a special focus on journalism, literature and stories from South East Asia.

Read My World is a Amsterdam-based literary initiative offering a platform to new international literary developments. This is achieved through an international visitors’ program, a website and a festival.

Read My World challenges Dutch and international authors to explore the borders between literature and (research) journalism. Each year, the platform inspects a different region and asks local curators to introduce writers and poets who can tell us stories beyond the superficiality of day-to-day news.
