Andina Dwifatma

Andina Dwifatma is a Jakarta-based novelist, columnist, and researcher in media studies. Her first novel, Semusim, dan Semusim Lagi (A Season, and then Another; Gramedia Pustaka Utama, 2013) won the Novel Writing Competition held by the Jakarta Arts Council in 2012, and her second novel, Lebih Senyap dari Bisikan (Quieter than a Whisper) published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama was chosen as the Buku Pilihan Tempo 2021 Kategori Prosa (Best Literary Book, 2021 Prose Category, selected by Tempo). Her essays on media, democracy, and urban social commentary have appeared in a variety of Indonesian publications, including The Jakarta Post, Tirto.id, The Conversation Indonesia, and Kumparan Plus.

She co-founded a longform-journalism website called PanaJournal where fellow writer Seno Gumira Ajidarma serves as editor-at-large. Her short stories appeared semi-regularly in Sarekat Penulis Kuping Hitam.

Andina is currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Arts, Monash University, Australia.
