Elisabeth Oktofani

A freelance Indonesian journalist, currently based in Jakarta.

Oktofani started her journalism career with The Yak/The Bud Magazine as an intern feature writer in 2009. In 2010, she had the opportunity to do three months internship at the Jakarta Globe. Later that year after she completed her communication journalism degree at the University of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta, she started work as a full-time news reporter at the Jakarta Globe. Oktofani works as a freelance journalist. She is a regular contributor to Khabar Southeast Asia.

In 2010, Oktofani received two scholarships. The first for a one month internship at the Associated Press Jakarta bureau from the Jakarta Foreign Correspondent Club . The second, an environmental journalism course in Bangkok and cities in southern Thailand on marine issue by the Southeast Asia Start Regional Center/ FOJO Media Institute in Bangkok.1
