She finished her study in Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta-Indonesia, majoring English Literature. Author of five books; Tabula Rasa (novel), Genesis (novel) and Larutan Senja (collected fiction), Kronik Betawi (novel) and Gadis Kretek (novel).

Not only writing books, she also write screenplay. Now she lives in Jakarta with her husband, Eka Kurniawan, who is also a writer, and their baby daughter Kidung Kinanti Kurniawan.1
