Sulfiza Ariska

Born in West Sumatra and educated in Yogyakarta, Sulfiza writes essays, short stories and novels. Winner of the Perhutani Green Pen Award (2014), Winner of the Sayembara Menulis Novel Dewan Kesenian Jakarta with a script titled Simpul Waktu (2012), First Prize in the Lomba Cerpen Pesantren Mahasiswa An-Najah Purwokerto (2012), High-Achieving Youth award by the Menteri Negara Pemuda dan Olahraga Republik Indonesia (2010), and First Prize in the Cerpen Pemuda Kemenpora (2010).

His works have been published in the anthology Sepucuk Surat untuk Tuhan (An-Najah Press, 2012), Sayap Jibril (FAM Publishing, 2012), Sarkofagus (Belistra, 2012), and Banten Suatu Ketika (Banten Muda, 2012), AMARAH (Glitzy Book Publishing, 2013), and Jendela-jendela Aba (Retakankata, 2013).

He loves Indonesia as much as he loves literature. To him, writing offers hope and freedom from fear.1
