    Kusala Sastra Khatulistiwa Announces Longlist

    Twenty titles for prose and poetry categories have been nominated for the 15th Kusala Sastra Khatulistiwa,—previously known as Khatulistiwa Literary Award—the Indonesia’s most valuable annual literary award for a single work of fiction. Announced on Monday (08/31/2015), these longlists also feature four longlisted writers from the last year’s award: Afrizal Malna, Eka Kurniawan, Triyanto Triwikromo, and Remy Sylado.

    Book titles—in alphabetical order—nominated are:

    Prose

    Anak-Anak Masa Lalu, by Damhuri Muhammad
    Aruna dan Lidahnya, by Laksmi Pamuntjak
    Bastian dan Jamur Ajaib, by Ratih Kumala
    Cerita Buat Para Kekasih, by Agus Noor
    Cinta Tak Pernah Tua, by Benny Arnas
    Hujan Bulan Juni, by Sapardi Djoko Damono
    Isinga: Roman Papua, by Dorothea Rosa Herliany
    Kambing dan Hujan: Sebuah Roman, by Mahfud Ikhwan
    Perempuan Bernama Arjuna 3: Javanologi dalam Fiksi, by Remy Silado
    Perempuan Patah Hati yang Kembali Menemukan Cinta Melalui Mimpi, by Eka Kurniawan
