    Originally run by the Indonesian Foundation (Yayasan Indonesia), the first issue of Horison magazine was published #onthisday in 1966.

    The idea to create such a magazine belonged to the writer and publicist MOCHTAR LUBIS, with the first editorial board consisted of H.B. JASSIN, TAUFIQ ISMAIL, Soe Hok Djin (Arief Budiman), D.S. Moeljanto, and himself.

    Launch their online version in 2010. In July 2016, happens mark 50 years of anniversary, Horison decided to stop circulation of their print magazine and totally become an online magazine, titled horisononline. Later in January 2018, Horison back with printed version and publish “only” as a quarter magazine.
