On this day in 2015, IDWRITERS was officially introduced to the public in an event at Goethe-Institut Jakarta. This Literary Day was enlivened by the appearance of Seno Gumira Ajidarma, Adimas Immanuel, Rain Chudori, Dunia Manji, and The Bandaneira.

As of now, our resource library consists of approximately 600 writers, 829 books by 256 publishers, 771 contributing authors, 1145 (385 coverages, 224 clippings, and 536 reviews) articles published in 360 media outlets, 81 works in translation, and 58 useful resources that we consider particularly worth noting.

For short, our main feature, the writer's directory, provides a way for writers to find one another, but more importantly, the resources provided make it easy for event hosts—especially for international event hosts—literary organizers, arts administrators, librarians, booksellers, and readers to get in touch with writers. It's a HOME FOR INDONESIAN WRITERS. We strive to break down the language barriers that have prevented Indonesian books or literature from becoming more widespread.
