With the financial assistance from Cipta Media Ekspresi, DEWI NOVIAMI—who happened to be also a program officer at Lontar Foundation—spearheaded a program titled Ruang Perempuan dan Tulisan (Women’s Space and Writings), which goal was to rekindle public interest in literary works by the “almost-forgotten” Indonesian women authors. In this innovative project, ten young women writers will research and write papers on the work of ten deceased women authors.

As of now, our resource library consists of approximately 600 writers, 831 books by 257 publishers, 771 contributing authors, 1146 (385 coverages, 224 clippings, and 537 reviews) articles published in 360 media outlets, 81 works in translation, and 58 useful resources that we consider particularly worth noting.

About Us

For short, our main feature, the writer's directory, provides a way for writers to find one another, but more importantly, the resources provided make it easy for event hosts—especially for international event hosts—literary organizers, arts administrators, librarians, booksellers, and readers to get in touch with writers. It's a HOME FOR INDONESIAN WRITERS. We strive to break down the language barriers that have prevented Indonesian books or literature from becoming more widespread.
