Ahda Imran

Ahda Imran was born in Kanagarian Baruhgunung, West Sumatera and Grew up in Cimahi, West Java. He wrote poetries, monologues, essays, critiques, and news reports about art.
Some of his poetries published in anthologies such as Tangan Besi (1998), Graffiti Gratitude (2001), Kitab Puisi Horison Sastra Indonesia (2002), Nafas Gunung (2003), Festival Mei (2006), Tongue in Your Ear (2007), 100 Puisi Terbaik Indonesia 2008 (Gramedia, 2008), Tanah Pilih (Dewan Kesenian Jambi, 2008), Krueng Aceh (Mata I Publishing, 2009), Tranvering (Utan Kayu Biennale, 2009).
Between 2003 to 2012 he was invited to various kind of literature events, Majelis Sastra Asia Tenggara (Mastera) and Writer’s Residence at Selasar Sunaryo Art Space, both in 2003. Then in 2007, he attended National Poetry Festival in Yogyakarta and Indonesia Short Story Congress in Banjarmasin. Indonesian Writers Meeting in Jambi (2008). Aceh International Literary Festival and Utan Kayu Literary Biennale, both in 2009. Jakarta International Literature Festival (jilFest, 2010). The 4th Indonesian Writers Meeting in Ternate (2011), and Indonesian Authors Meeting in Makassar (2012).
Besides writing poetries, Ahda also edited books titled Di Atas Viaduct: Bandung dalam Puisi Indonesia (2010) and Ruang Pemikiran Budaya (2010). He also wrote a biography titled Lima Dasawarsa Irawati Durban Menari (2010).
Rusa Berbulu Merah is his third poetry anthology, published in 2014 by Pustaka Jaya. His previous anthologies are Penunggang Kuda Negeri Malam (Akar, 2008) and Dunia Perkawinan (PT Rekamedia Multiprakarsa, 1999).
