Sartika Dian Nuraini

Sartika Dian Nuraini is a writer, translator, poet, theatre activist, and essayist. A graduate of American Studies, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Solo, she is interested in discourse production work in the arts, curatorial, and art networks. Her most recent work is Teori Cahaya dan Esai–esai Lainnya (2020), which contains 31 essays on art, theatre, film, women, history, literature, language, literacy, social phenomena, to biography.

Departing from her passion for writing, she began to open up new media possibilities. She never stopped exploring the in-between spaces in her contact with various media, whether theatre, literature, film or visual arts. Her essays have been recorded in various mass media and publications such as Harian Kompas, Koran Tempo, Jawapos, Suara Merdeka, Lampung Pos, Solopos, Balipos, Majalah Basis, Bulletin Sastra Pawon, Jurnal Perempuan, and website Dewan Kesenian Jakarta.
