The Daily Tar Heel is the student newspaper at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The nonprofit organization, which incorporated in 1989 as a separate legal entity from UNC, stopped taking student fees in 1993 and has since been funded by advertising revenue, thus making it both fiscally and editorially independent. The student journalists are solely responsible for all content under the direction of the student editor-in-chief. The 2018-19 editor-in-chief is Rachel Jones. The paper’s business operations are governed by a 13-member, student-majority board of directors whose open slots are filled by the board each winter for the next year.

About Us

For short, our main feature, the writer's directory, provides a way for writers to find one another, but more importantly, the resources provided make it easy for event hosts—especially for international event hosts—literary organizers, arts administrators, librarians, booksellers, and readers to get in touch with writers. It's a HOME FOR INDONESIAN WRITERS. We strive to break down the language barriers that have prevented Indonesian books or literature from becoming more widespread.

Questions, comments, articles, info, etc. are more than welcome. Just send us an e-mail, mention us on Twitter/Instagram/Facebook or use the contact form.
