Bentang Pustaka has launched its first historical fiction novel comprehensively detailing the life of Indonesian painting maestro Raden Saleh, titled "Pangeran dari Timur" (Prince from the East).

The novel was co-authored by two veteran writers, Iksaka Banu and Kurnia Effendi, and is the culmination of two decades of in-depth research and rich historical imagination.
