Biographical writer Herry Gendut Janarto has turned to comedy in his latest book "Gado-Gado Kredo" (Credo of Gado-Gado).
The book, which was released at the end of August, is a collection of 101 poems that Herry wrote over the past year. It also marks his return after a four-year hiatus.
To celebrate the milestone, publisher Kompas Gramedia launched the book during a night of poetry, humor and jazz at Bentara Budaya Jakarta on Thursday (27/10). The event featured comedy group Bagito, critic and creative consultant Maman Suherman, actor Budi Ros, television personality Mayong Suryolaksono and conductor Jay Wijayanto sharing the stage to read Herry's poems.
