She graduated from the Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia and Intercultural Communication and European Studies at the University of Applied Sciences Fulda in Germany. Tutur Dedes: Doa dan Kutukan is her first work. This fairy tale set in the history of the archipelago won an award at Kelompok Penerbit Renjana Indonesia (Patjarmerah) Mencari Naskah. Amalia Yunus won second place in Sayembara Novel Dewan Kesenian Jakarta 2021 for her work entitled Berat.
