A Balinese poet currently living in Ubud after spending some years living and working in Australia. He has published two collections of poetry: Jatuh Bisu/Falling in Silence and Suara Malam/Night Voice. He has participated in world music and literary festivals in Japan, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia.

In 1986 he established Ganesha Bookshop in Ubud, the first and only Independent bookshop on the island and The Books For Bali Project (2004) to donate books to schools and libraries throughout Bali. He is currently writing a column for an English newspaper on contemporary Balinese issues and trying his hands at writing film scripts, whilst contemplating his next poetry book.1
