Luna Vidya

Writer

Luna Vidya, an Indonesian poet and theatre actor, was born in Papua and has lived in Makassar for the past 30 years. She specializes in writing monologue theatre scripts and frequently performs them herself. Luna’s monologues serve not only as theatrical pieces but also as tools for knowledge exchange. Her scripts incorporate the roles and events she has encountered during her facilitation work for knowledge exchange and development in the Eastern Indonesian region. Luna’s monologues primarily focus on narrating social stories about women and their roles in society, drawing parallels with contemporary society and interpretations of folklore.1
