Mahir Pradana was born in Makassar and spent his higher education in Bandung, Newcastle (Australia) and Bern (Switzerland). His first novel, Here, After: Cerita Cinta Berakhir di Sini (2010) was on the shortlist of most favorite fiction, Indonesian Readers Award at Indonesian Readers Festival 2011. After his second novel, Rhapsody: Selalu Ada Alasan untuk Pulang (2013), he published his first nonfiction, Home & Away (2014). The latter is a traveling memoir telling his whole story traveling around Europe to satisfy his passion about football.
