Nurdiyansah Dalidjo (Diyan) is an interdisciplinary queer writer, researcher, and author who has contributed to the Jurnal Perempuan, Jakarta Post, Overland, Nosa Magazine, mata jendela, Magdalene.co, Project Multatuli, Jurnal Wastra, Tourism Watch Indonesia, Maxmillian, Women’s Media Center (WMC) FBOMB, and many others. He has published the travel book Porn(O) Tour (2015) in which he campaigns about tourism ethics and Rumah di Tanah Rempah (Tales from the Spice Islands) (2020) that explores the history of colonialism through the tradition of spices and foods in the Indonesian archipelago. A graduate of the Master of Tourism Management (MM) program at the Universitas Sahid Jakarta, Diyan has gained over 10 years’ experience in Development issues with a focus on ethical and sustainable tourism, Indigenous Peoples, environmental issue, gender and sexuality, and social justice. He is currently based in Jakarta and works for Project Multatuli and spends his time collecting stories of queer individuals and the movement.
