Eleanor joined the Asia Media Centre as a media adviser in 2020, fresh from the newsroom. Prior to arriving in the role, she spent three years working as a reporter for Stuff.co.nz, primarily for The Dominion Post as well as a number of its other mastheads. She graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor of Communications, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism. While studying, she travelled to Bangalore, India on a grant from the Asia New Zealand Foundation and interned at the Deccan Herald newspaper, sparking an interest in Asia and its media landscape.1
