Writing is his main passion. He has written 30 books. His latest book, the novel Temanggung, Yogyakarta, slated for publication in 2020, completes Warrior (2007) and Dalam Rinai Hujan (2012) as the “Trilogi Temanggung.”
In addition to writing, he also works as a translator, manuscript editor, and provides ghostwriting services.
He is active in conducting writing workshops and developing the ART (Amati, Renungkan, Tuliskan) method. His workshops have been held in Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Bandung (Jabar), Purwokerto, Solo, Temanggung, Muntilan, Salatiga, Semarang, Pati (Jateng), Surabaya (Jatim), Palu (Sulteng), Sibolangit, Medan (Sumut), Wewewa Tengah, and Lewa (NTT).
His writings have been published in both print and online media, including Kompas, Renungan Harian, Detik, Beritagar, Mojok, Alinea, and Liturgia. He served as editor-in-chief of Renungan Harian (2012–2016) and is a member of the editorial team of Renungan Anak Footprints.
