Ishack Sonlay

He graduated from the Seminary of Sta. Maria Immaculata Lalian in 2008, and with a degree in Philosophy from Unwira in Kupang in 2012.

He was in the regional Literature group Dusun FLOBAMORA-NTT, writing often for campus magazines such as Logos, Veritas, Maranatha, as well as for Harian Pos Kupang and Timor Express. His poems and essays were presented in Tuah Tara No Ate (Bunga Rampai Temu Sastrawan Indonesia IV Ternate, 2011), Meretas Karya Anak Bangsa (World Art Games Indonesia, 2012), Poetry Poetry 120 Indonesian Poetry (2012), Berbagi Kasih (2012). Jurnal Santarang (Literature Journal Dusun FLOBAMORA), Pon Minimalis (Language Theatre Indonesia), Buletin Jejak (Forum Sastra Bekasi). His short story ‘Hantu-Hantu Motel’ was published in the women’s short story anthology Sepotong Kepala (2011). Ishack published his poetry anthology Kuyup Basahmu (IBC, 2012), and is now writing his novel Dilinov. He has also read poetry in a number of cities: Atambua, Kupang, Jakarta (Studiohanafi), Yogyakarta (Feat. Senyawa), and Ternate (TSI IV).1
