Nityasa Wijaya is an Indonesian writer born and raised in Bali. Her writing has been widely published across various media. Several of her short stories, including: Nyentana in 2021, Leak Bukal in 2022, and Kharma Phala in 2022, have been discussed in academic theses and scholarly journals focusing on culture and social issues. Another of her works was selected among the 30 Best Stories at the national McDonald’s Indonesia competition in 2022. Her short story Buaian Rahim Patriarki from 2023 was featured in Tilik Karya 2024, organised by the Art Theis de Cairo Community at Al-Alzhar University in Egypt. She was also named of Kompas’s 17 Best Short Story Writers of 2024, with her story Giri Tohlangkir from 2024 published in book from. In 2026 she was recognized as an Emerging Writer at the Ubud Writers and Reader Festival and the Singaraja Literary Festival – a collaborative initiative with the Indonesian Ministry of Culture’s program via MTN Lab x SLF.
