Several of his poems were published in Angkatan ’66: Prosa dan Puisi (1968), Tonggak 2 (1987), Dari Negeri Poci 2 (1994) and Sajak-Sajak Perjuangan dan Nyanyian Tanah Air (1995). He also wrote short stories and novels. In 1984, he received the prestigious Yayasan Buku Utama award for his poem “Lagu Bening dari Rawa Pening”. In 2005, Tegal city government declared May 22 of every year as “Hari Kepenyairan Kota Tegal” in honor of the anniversary of his passing.
