    Na Willa

    Book — Novel

    Na Willa

Little Na Willa lives in a narrow alley in Surabaya, in a house with a pine tree standing out front. She spends her days running after passing trains with Dul (though she never manages to catch up), going to the market with her mother, passing the man who sells fluffy yellow chicks, or wondering how people can sing from inside a radio.

This book contains Na Willa’s notes about the world as she sees it, set in a time when Lilis Suryani’s songs played from the radio and kapok mattresses were sun-dried and beaten with rattan.
