So Say We All is a literary and performing arts non-profit organization whose mission is to create opportunities for individuals to tell their stories, and tell them better. We achieve this through three core priorities: publishing, performance, and education.
In addition to the programs made available to the public, SSWA offers education outreach programs specifically targeting communities who lack access or are under-represented by mainstream media. Past outreach has centered around SSWA’s teaching artists providing creative writing and storytelling courses through partnering social services such as The Braille Institute, Veteran Writers Group – San Diego, PEN USA, Southern California American Indian Resource Center (SCAIR), the homeless residents of Father Joe’s Village and Toussaint Academy, San Diego Public and County Library branches, and more.
The biggest hurdle for someone with a story that needs to be told is knowing where to begin. So Say We All’s purpose is to serve as the answer to that question, to be a resource that listens to all facets of its community, regardless of the volume at which they speak.
