A medium to propagate and exchange ideas, across disciplines and across ideologies. The journal values new ways of viewing things, fresh ideas, and isare open tofor various literary experiments. After having been published in twenty-two editions since 1994, from May 2007 on Kalam has been transformed and enters the virtual world on the website http://kalam.salihara.org/. Kalam has also published several books.

As of now, our resource library consists of approximately 600 writers, 831 books by 257 publishers, 772 contributing authors, 1149 (386 coverages, 226 clippings, and 537 reviews) articles published in 361 media outlets, 81 works in translation, and 58 useful resources that we consider particularly worth noting.

About Us

For short, our main feature, the writer's directory, provides a way for writers to find one another, but more importantly, the resources provided make it easy for event hosts—especially for international event hosts—literary organizers, arts administrators, librarians, booksellers, and readers to get in touch with writers. It's a HOME FOR INDONESIAN WRITERS. We strive to break down the language barriers that have prevented Indonesian books or literature from becoming more widespread.
