His awards for writing include: Recipient of the Anugerah Kebudayaan Sagang Kategori Penelitian Budaya 2011; Winner of the Harapan Utama LMCR Rohto-Raya Kultura 2008-2009 and 2013; First Prize in the Lomba Menulis Cerpen Almadani FISIP Universitas Riau 2010; First Prize in the Lomba Menulis Cerpen Majalah Bahana Universitas Riau 2009; First Prize in the Menulis Puisi As-Syammil FMIPA Universitas Riau 2009; First Prize in the Cipta Puisi Universitas Lancang Kuning 2009 and Second Prize in the Lomba Menulis Puisi Majalah Bahana Universitas Riau 2008. He was an invited member in the Pembinaan Membaca, Menulis, dan Apresiasi Sastra (MMAS) by the Kemendiknas Dirjen Dikdasmen in Bogor in 2010. His writings are found in novels, anthologies, short stories and poems.¹
