Dewi Kharisma Michellia

Writer



Dewi Kharisma Michellia is a writer, translator, and editor. Her works encompass the novel Surat Panjang tentang Jarak Kita yang Jutaan Tahun Cahaya from 2013, and the short story collection Elegi from 2017. She is involved in the collectives Ruang Perempuan and Tulisan, and possesses experience in managing the literary criticism website tengara.id.

She cofounded Penerbit OAK, an indie publisher based in Yogyakarta, along with 3 other colleagues in 2015. In 2018, along with 12 other female colleagues, she ran Ruang Perempuan dan Tulisan (Women Writers Space and Writings), a collective dedicated to reading and promoting works by women writers from Indonesia.

Currently, she is engaged with the literature committee of the Jakarta Arts Council.
