Djoko Lelono, is a prolific children book writer in Indonesia since?the 1970s. He is known as the author of science-fiction book series Space Explorers, Falling into the Sun and its sequel, Black Star. This series was published in 1976, and this is the earliest science fiction novel written by Indonesian authors. In addition to writing science fiction books, he also writes children’s books, such as Astrid series and some wayang (traditional Indonesian puppet) stories. He is also known as a translator of foreign fiction books, such as Tom Sawyer Adventures of Mark Twain, Choose Your Own Adventure series, Mimi comic series, Mallory Towers series by Enid Blyton, and Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder.1
