In 2007, she obtained her bachelor of law in International Law from Atmajaya University, Jakarta. The following year she earned her LL.M degree in International Law and Law of International Organization from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Kanti attended a creative writing summer course at Oxford University in 2011. Although she has law degrees, writing has always been her first love. Therefore in 2006 she encouraged herself to publish her first novel, Saraswati. Through Saraswati, Kanti has been nominated for Khatulistiwa Literary Award short listed young talented writer category. In 2010, her second book Frans dan Sang Balerina was published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama. And in the same year she established her own publishing house, Optimist +. Currently Kanti is one of the presidium members of the Alinea, specializing in law and advocacy. In addition, she is the founder and owner of Baca Di Tebet Library and Meeting Space, a director of Koperasi Penulis Bangsa Indonesia (Indonesian Writers Coop), and an active executive of Literary Agent (Indonesian Writer Inc.).
