Author and founder of Seri Buku Toleransi (the Tolerance Book Series), the first children’s book series focusing on tolerance in Indonesia. Sekar strongly believes that the understanding of differences and prejudice play an important role in the education of tolerance, and should be introduced to children from a young age. Her passion for tolerance became clear after moving to Los Angeles, one of the largest melting pots in the world, providing her the opportunity to be surrounded by people from many different cultures. Sekar hopes Seri Buku Toleransi will start a meaningful conversation between parents and their children about differences and stereotypes.
