    Paromita Chakrabarti

    Assistant Professor in the Department of English at HR College, University of Mumbai and a 2010-2011 Fulbright Nehru Doctoral Research Fellow, at Indiana University, Bloomington. She received her M Phil in African American Feminist Theater and teaches American and Postcolonial literature to college undergraduates and Literature of the Diaspora to post-graduate students. Currently pursuing a PhD in South Asian American diasporic literature from the Department of English, SNDT Women’s University; her thesis interrogates the politics of belonging, displacement and dislocation in the diaspora. Apart from teaching and research, Paromita enjoys travelling, adventure sports and music.
