Danny Irawan Yatim

Danny Irawan Yatim is a psychologist who enjoys writing. A graduate of Gadjah Mada University, Connecticut College, and Harvard University, he began writing during his university years in the late 1970s as an editorial staff member of the student press. After graduation, he wrote numerous scientific essays and media articles on social issues, education, popular psychology, pop culture, and travel notes. Since 2016, he has also started producing memoirs and children’s fiction stories. He has experience leading writing skills classes in both Indonesian and English. The classes he teaches include memoir writing, expressive writing for healing, social issue writing, and academic writing.

 

Outside of writing, he is active as a counselor, training facilitator, communication consultant, translator, choir singer, tour guide, and adjunct lecturer at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia and the University of Indonesia.
