A poet and musician who explores Chinese rituals and mythology through Indonesian poetry. His poetry collections include Kita Bersaudara (1991), which was translated into English as We Are All One, and Malam Cahaya Lampion (2005), which won a literary competition and was translated into Dutch as Nach Van De Lampionen. He was editor of the cultural journal Cak.
