August 2017 (Introducing: Monthly Digest)
Here’s a digest of what happened in Indonesian literature in August 2017. Highlights recent pieces: insightful reviews, news updates, in addition to notable goings-on as posted on website (https://idwriters.com) and Twitter (@idwriters) feed in the former month, August. We plan to leverage the best feature to do an even more effective job in achieving our vision: curating up-to-date and relevant content as well as building an exceptionally reliable platform to provide information about Indonesian literature that’s also easily accessible to the international world.

Aug 19 / In 2017, Florey’s Books, CA hosted the event, “A Glimpse Into Indonesian History Through Story” which offered Dalang Publishing the opportunity to introduce their nine titles and present their newest publication, a Maya Denisa Saputra’s English translation of Dasamuka by Junaedi Setiyono. In addition to presenting their titles, Dalang also discussed Indonesia and its rich culture. Read

Aug 03 / #OnThisDay in 2017, the 4th ASEAN Literary Festival officially starts, brought together writers from more than 30 nations, celebrated freedom of speech and the rich literary traditions of Southeast Asia. This festival took place from 3 to 6 August, at Kota Tua, Jakarta. Read
